Metallic bonds

Book Definition

My Definition
Consists of the attraction of the free-floating valence electrons for the postively charged metal ions.
Metallic bonds
Its a good conductor of heat that moves freely through postively charged metal ions
Examples
Metals are good conductors of electrical current because electrons can flow freely in them. As electrons enter one end of a var of metal, an equal number leave the other end. Metals as ductile that is, they can be drawn into wires.

Anti-examples
covalent bonds and ionic bonds
